1 . Time to detox

You’ll want to look and feel amazing on your big day, which is why a pre-wedding detox is a great idea. Swap caffeine and soda based drinks for plenty of fresh juices, herbal teas and water. Prioritise eating lots of raw vegetables and foods that are packed with vitamins. To keep your vitamin C levels high, eat plenty of citrus fruits, kale, spinach and broccoli. For a little help, healthy eating apps like ‘Noom’ can be beneficial to stay on track.

2. Improve exercise regime

The quality of our exercise regime is affected by many factors, from time to motivation and energy. Use the build up to your wedding as the perfect motivator to get more active! Start gradually by getting up 30 minutes earlier each day and trying a daily yoga challenge. Increase your gym visits, setting yourself a realistic goal, and consider treating yourself to a few sessions with a personal trainer. Personal trainers can be an excellent pre-wedding gift to yourself to reach your fitness goals and access nutritional advice too.

3. Exfoliate & tan

You might not be considering a fake tan for your wedding, but if you are, you’ll want to start a good exfoliation regime early to prep your skin. Either way, exfoliating daily will leave your skin looking amazing. There are plenty of products out there to help you on your journey to great skincare, but if you’re looking for a natural way, try using coffee beans. You’ll find that these are an amazing exfoliant to keep your skin healthy and get rid of dead skin cells.

4. Natural hair care

To get your hair in great condition, why not try a natural hair care routine in preparation for your wedding? Gradually begin to shampoo your hair less often, over-washing your hair can end up stripping it of nutrients and drying it out. Try using pure coconut oil as a conditioner to give your hair a moisture boost. If your hair is particularly dry, you can rub coconut oil into damp hair, brush it through and use it as a leave-in conditioner. With more oily hair types, you can simply leave-in for 30 minutes as a hair mask and then rinse out.

 5. Plan your make-up look

Wedding make-up takes a little planning, whether you’re going DIY or hiring a make-up artist. Perhaps you’re planning on getting some fun snaps with a photo booth hire service, or you’ve maybe got yourself a professional photographer? Either way, you’ll want to look your best! First, you’ll need to decide whether you prefer a glamorous or natural look. The easiest way to decide on a look is to search for inspiration. Look to Instagram, YouTube videos, your favourite magazines, or inspiration from characters in movies. Gather all these sources together so that you can best communicate the look you are going for to your make-up artist. Of course, you can just as easily follow a DIY online tutorial. When you are make-up shopping, look out for eco-friendly brands like ‘100% Pure’.
