Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder – Make Sure You’re One Of Them!

With all of the celebrities that we see on telly and in magazines, it’s easy to be given an impression on what sort of beauty regime that we should be undertaking. It’s also easy to fall into a position where you doubt that you’re in fact, a beautiful person. Society dictates that we look a certain way, and if we look any different then we look out of place. It’s a sad state of affairs to be in, but it’s also something that I’m passionate on fighting. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you as an individual should be one of those people that thinks you’re beautiful. Here are some fabulous ways in which you can bring your self confidence up without having to touch a drop of make up.

Drink enough water

You’ve probably already heard that water is one of the most important things that we can put into our bodies, and this is true. Not only for the internal function of your organs, but for your exterior too. I’m someone who suffers terribly with bad skin, and more often than not my skin is dry and flaky. This is partly due to the fact that I don’t drink enough water. I notice how much better my skin feels and looks when I get enough water into my system.

Not only that, but water can help improve the condition of your hair and nails too. If you’re suffering with dry and brittle hair and nails, try upping your water intake and before long you will begin to notice how much stronger they both are. Release your inner beauty by drinking more water!

Get enough sleep

As a parent, sleep is something that I forget about, and that’s part of life. However, sleep deprivation can dramatically show on the exterior of your body, as well as feeling tired in yourself. The first sign is dark circles around your eyes where you haven’t had enough rest. While make up can cover this, simply getting enough sleep can improve the way you look alone.

Whenever possible, try and get the recommended eight hours of sleep a night (don’t worry, I almost didn’t type this because it’s been years since I’ve had it!) and you will soon begin to see the change in your appearance.

Take time for yourself

Life is hectic, especially if you have children. It’s understandable that every waking moment you’re tending to your children to make sure that they are happy, healthy, warm, and fed. Even with only having one child, at the end of each day I’m exhausted, so I take my hat off to women with multiple children!

Regardless of being Mum, you need to take time for yourself. This will allow you to release any stresses that have accrued throughout the day, and also have a small amount of time to be you alone and without children. While this might not be something that you can do on a regular basis, it’s definitely something that you need to do for your mental and physical well being. The more relaxed you are in general, the better it will reflect on your natural beauty. Remember that the best make up anyone can wear is a smile.

A great way of taking time for yourself is by taking yourself off for a good old pampering session. Take a long hot bath, paint your nails, wash your hair, slap a face mask on and pour yourself a large glass of your favourite poison. One great thing about pampering is that the products we use can improve our skin, hair and nails too!

Eat well

As I mentioned earlier, water is one of the most important things that we can put in our bodies. What we eat also makes a huge difference to how we look, and not just weight wise either. Junk food can and will bring our skin out in spots because of the grease and chemicals that are used to make it taste so damn good.

Change your eating habits to a healthier lifestyle and over time you will begin to wonder why you binged out on naughty food in the first place. You will notice that you’re much trimmer than before, that your body is getting many more nutrients than before so your skin is glowing, and also that you’ve got much more energy within yourself than you ever have.

Eat well so that you can release even more of your natural beauty, and if you’re self conscious about your weight, feel better about yourself in that department too! Check out the link above to see how you can begin a healthier lifestyle.

Cut out poisonous people

Everyone has someone in their lives that brings them down in some sort of way, and this isn’t good for you! Someone who feels like they control you, or puts you down, or even judges you for your actions is someone who is poisonous. Everyone is entitled to live their life the way that they choose, and shouldn’t be controlled by another human being. Someone who has got themselves into a position where they are being controlled by another individual can find themselves stressed out, which as you probably already know will show on your exterior. Stress can bring on grey hairs, wrinkles, and dark circles along with eye bags.

Take these ideas into consideration and let yourself release your beauty the natural way. While wearing make up is fun and can help with your self confidence, make sure that you’re comfortable in your own skin too so that you can feel beautiful all of the time. Don’t ever forget it either!
