Your GCSE Results Are In, What Now?

Being a part of the younger generation shouldn’t be a reason for you not to take the necessary steps to ensure that your health stays at it’s best. Not just your health either, your quality of life is important too. You may be under the impression that because you’re younger that your claim won’t be taken as seriously.

Health

Taking out health insurance should be the first step you take to make sure that if something happens, you’re covered. Even though it might be an expense that you don’t want to be paying at the moment, it will pay off if you become ill or injured. Imagine being landed with massive health bills and not being able to pay it? Having insurance will make sure that you don’t have to experience that. Don’t forget that keeping yourself fit in general is important to avoid you having to make any claims too!

Did you know that when you’re at work, if you get injured or ill because of work that you’re entitled to claim from their worker’s compensation? If you’ve been incorrectly trained on machinery, or the machines you’re using are fault and you become injured while using them, then you’re eligible to claim. You also have the right to claim without any grudges being held by your employers too.

Even if your injury leaves you disabled, you still have the right to return to your job if you want to, and claim compensation. However, if your claim is dismissed for any reason and you know that you’re entitled to claim, consider hiring an attorney who will reopen your case. They normally offer a service where if they don’t win the case that you don’t have to pay any fees, so it’s definitely worth thinking about.

Education

Did you know that even if you’re in education you might be entitled to benefits to help you along the way? Making sure that your head is above water every step of the way will make your life easier in the long run. Do the research and find out if you’re entitled to anything, and apply if you are! It’s not just going to be handed to you on a plate!

Of course, if you’re earning a good wage then it’s unlikely that you will be entitled to claim anything back, but if you’re unsure it’s always best to check to see if you’re eligible to make a claim. If you’re still living with your parents, they might be able to claim some sort of refund too, so get them to check it out to make their lives easier.

As you can see, there are a few things here that you’re entitled to that you might not already be doing. Make sure you’re claiming everything to can to make your life as a college student easier.
