Fun Drink Ideas For Your Wedding Ceremony

It should come as no surprise: weddings are often incredibly expensive. Things like flowers, invitations, and even the table linens can quickly add up. Luckily, there are ways where you can cut back on the bill, and even cover most of the honeymoon costs, by using credit cards to get rewards and cashback. But, once you have paid for the wedding, you have to remember that it is a party and you should be having a good time! Here are some of the best drinks at a wedding that you should consider including on your big day.

Gin Martini: Gin, Dry vermouth, Olives/Lemon (Optional)

This is a classic cocktail and one that is so simple that most bars will have the ingredients on hand. While this drink gained its popularity during the Prohibition era, it continues to be the drink of choice.

Whiskey Ginger: Whiskey, Ginger Ale

This drink is perfect for when the lines at the wedding are long, and the bartender doesn’t have time to whip up a complicated beverage. Plus, it is a fairly safe choice that is almost impossible to get wrong.

Kalimotxo: Red Wine, Cola

My years in Spain taught me that if you have a cheap, sub-par red wine, the best way to make it drinkable is to add coca-cola (NYSE: KO) to it. While it doesn’t seem like a natural pairing, it actually tastes surprisingly good!

Gin And Tonic

Clear liquids, like gin and tonic, are perfect on the dance floor at a wedding. You don’t have to worry about ruining an expensive dress if you spill it, and your teeth or lips won’t be stained dark in the pictures.

Watermelon Refresher: Vodka, Watermelon, Ginger, Lime, and Basil

If you are throwing a summer wedding, this is a perfect drink to add to your list. If you have another favorite fruit, you can switch the watermelon for any other tasty seasonal fruit like strawberry or passion fruit.

Champagne And Fruit

Sometimes, simple is better. Champagne is the perfect drink for a celebration. By adding a little bit of fruit like raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries, it elevates the drink to a whole other level.

Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco: Raspberries, Prosecco, Limoncello, Mint

Another great summer cocktail, the raspberry limoncello prosecco is refreshingly cool and helps take the edge off of a hot summer day. It is simple enough for a bartender to whip up quickly, so the bar line can keep on moving.

Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade

Nothing reminds people more of summer than a fresh glass of lemonade. Put a twist on this by adding blackberry and whiskey to the cocktail. Your bartenders can even prepare large pitchers of this delicious drink beforehand or serve the cocktail made-to-order.
